Grow With Recreate-U: Allotment Skills for All

GROW WITH RECREATE-U
Allotment Gardening and Wellbeing Sessions

Inclusive, nature-based gardening building confidence, skills and wellbeing

Grow with RecreateU offers inclusive, nature-based sessions that support people to build confidence, develop skills and improve their wellbeing through hands-on experiences.

Delivered at our allotment, sessions are open to a wide range of participants and groups. Alongside this, we currently work with adults with special educational needs and disabilities, providing tailored support to ensure everyone can take part in a way that works for them.

Participants are supported to:

  • Grow, harvest and care for fruit and vegetables
  • Learn practical allotment and life skills
  • Take part in planning and decision-making
  • Build confidence, independence and routine

Sessions are led by qualified RecreateU practitioners, creating a supportive, inclusive and professional environment where people can learn, connect and grow at their own pace.

Sessions may also include creative and social elements, such as:

  • Hands-on crafts and creative activities
  • Time to connect, talk and build relationships
  • Opportunities to enjoy food and shared experiences together

Our approach is flexible and personalised, ensuring that each individual or group is supported on their own journey, regardless of ability, background or starting point.
