POORLOTS ALLOTMENT
Recreate-U's Poorlots Allotment plot provides a calm, inclusive environment where people can step away from everyday pressures and reconnect with nature, themselves and others.
At the allotment, we deliver a range of programmes and sessions, including:
- Grow with Recreate‑U (SEND-focused wellbeing sessions)
- School partnership programmes such as our Blossom outdoor social and emotional learning programme
- Community wellbeing sessions
- Nature-based learning and workshops
- Food growing and cooking activities
- Holiday clubs
- Our previous award winning Poorlots Happy Veg Squad

Volunteer at Our Allotment
We’re always looking for people to get involved and spend time at the allotment.
Whether it’s weeding, watering, planting or simply pottering in the garden, there’s something for everyone. No experience is needed - just a willingness to get involved and enjoy being outdoors.
We particularly welcome support from people who can help care for the space outside of session times, making sure the allotment continues to grow and thrive even when groups aren’t there.
It’s a great way to connect with others, build confidence and be part of a positive, welcoming community.
